AP Psychology Zoo Field Trip
AP Psychology class went on a field trip and attended a program developed for our class by zoo staff focusing on Operant Conditioning strategies used by the NC Zoo.  It was demonstrated by staff using a salamander and a rabbit.  They also discussed how conditioning strategies, such as Classical Conditioning using positive and negative reinforcement, are used with other zoo animals.  Following the program, students were assigned to conduct their own Naturalistic Observation of a zoo animal recording observations and data. Greater Goldsboro Road Run

On Saturday April 20th-WCDS teacher Austin Becker, WCDS 7th grader Gracie Merritt, and WCDS alumni Shepherd Cowan ('23) and Georgina Woodlock ('23) all participated in the Greater Goldsboro Road Run.

Shepherd placed 3rd overall in the men's 5k
Gracie placed 2nd overall in the women's 5k
